These Hoop Earrings are hand crafted from melted down aluminium war scrap. With the Silver earring wire being hand made and attention to detail with Brass wire wrapped around the hook and small brass bead. 

From 1964-1973 approximately 270 million bombs were dropped on Laos by the USA. An estimated 80 million failed to detonate. Village Artisans in Laos melt down this war scrap and re cast the aluminium bomb casings into beautiful Peace Rings, providing sustainable income for the metal workers and contributes to the development of the community. The Peace Project is a collaboration between Loom Designs and Village Artisans in Laos.
